Growing Pains!

Sorry it's been a while. Lots of stuff going on in the Carspecken Casa. Last weekend we went to E.W.'s Sip N See. I had already seen him, but he's grown. Getting closer to my size! And it was good to see Uncle Drew and Aunt Georgia. Andrew wasn't there, but I gave back the possessed Hulk (he moved around the house by himself!). Here I am in my cute outfit (and if you look carefully, there's a cameo of my tooth!):

Sunday was just busy with stuff around the house. Mom and Dad have decided to move back to Atlanta, so I can be close to family, and have a basement. Works for me! So that means I have to keep the house clean. Hmmm, doesn't work for me as much, hope the house sells quickly!

I've been crawling a lot better, and pulling up, but in my adventures, I've taken some lumps and bumps. Mom says my face looks like a brawler's!

In case you can't make them out, that's a bruise/cut on my upper right forehand, a bruise on my upper left forehead, and two bruises on my left cheek. Growing pains indeed! Stiil cute though, right?

Faux Pas and Peachy are here to visit me. They are lots of fun! Faux Pas gave me my first orange. It was super yummy, and nice and juicy and sticky, which makes it all better! Then I put on a show for them, with my magic wands that I can command the cats with. See:
Then I found a second magic wand! Twice as cool!

Beware the power of the Beautiful Baby!:

Then it was time for some up close adoration by them.

Followed by fun with Dad. Ack, he's eating me!

Silly Daddy!

Teeth!

Or rather tooth! I'm getting my first tooth, on the bottom right. It's hard to see, so Mom can't really take a picture of it (plus I like to stick my tongue out when my mouth is open). I like to feel it with my tongue. And I don't like to sit still, now that I can crawl wherever I like.

My baby jail is complete! Mom and Dad put up the other gate yesterday.

The cats are now protected from me coming after them (awww). There is still fun stuff for me to go after in my playroom. Like lights that are plugged in! Since Mom and Dad prevent me from doing that, I just get things out of my toy box.

On Friday Mom got off work early and took me to her work pool party. I loved to swim around! I wore myself out big time. There was a little girl there a month older than me, so I had someone to talk to. And share noodle toys with. I impressed everyone with the great job I did kicking and swimming. And everyone thought I looked just like Daddy! I was a really good boy, and even wore my swim hat for most of the time. Wouldn't want to ruin my beautiful hair and skin!

9 months

I'm now 9 months old. Yay!

I had my doctor's checkup, and I'm doing great! I'm now 28 and 1/4 inches tall, and weight 18 lbs, 5 ozs. I'm in the 50% for height and 20% for weight (so no idea why people say I'm so big! Geez, just talk about how cute I am). See:

Very cute!

More Jail Time!

Another good weekend! Saturday morning Mom and I went to her tennis team's end of season brunch. I was surrounded by women, and I loved it! My girlfriend Madeleine was there too. She's very petite and cute. Later we all went to my friend Liam and Colin's house. That was a lot of fun. Boy time!

They had some really cool toys that they shared with me. Oh, a remote! Mom and Dad don't let me play with the one at home.

They had two, so we each got one. I like hanging with the Brennan boys!

Yesterday Mom and Dad hung a baby gate up. Didn't faze me, as the other doorway is still open! Of course I had to supervise to make sure they did it properly. Here I am with the level.

The bars are great, especially to bang against.

"Warden, where's my lunch?!"

Other fun things I did this weekend was eat corn for the first time. Off the cob!

Okay, so Mom eat the corn, I was just sucking on the cob. But I am starting with real food. I've tried some small bites of meatloaf, macaroni noodles, and egg. Yummy! Now where are the cakes and cookies?!

I also loved playing with my box. Dashie did too, which was a lot of fun for me to watch. One time he got in and I tried to go in after! He moved pretty quickly- good thing we call him Dash! Dad even put me in.

Tomorrow is my nine-month check-up, so I'll post again with my stats.

Standing Man!

I've been practicing a lot on standing. Sometimes it's fun, sometimes it's frustrating. I also am practicing getting back to the ground in a way that doesn't boink my head. A good place to practice is my baby jail, as the sides are fun to land against.

Here I am practicing on my chair.

"Look, Ma, one hand! Ta-da!"

1st 4th!

Happy 5th of July! I was so busy yesterday, I didn't have time to post on the 4th. It was a great day. It started with me marching in a parade! Okay, so I didn't march, Mom and Dad pushed me. But I was still in the parade. The neighborhood has a big party and parade, so there were a lot of kids, some fancy old cars, and police and a fire engine! Mom decorated my stroller.

I liked to pull the stars off.

Dad had his marathon training in the morning, and was quite tired by parade time, but still walked with us.

After the parade and party, we went home (I napped on the way) and got ready for the Logans to come over to play. Dad made yummy ribs (or so I heard, again, not allowed to have any) and Mom made a flag cake (ditto). Andrew liked playing with Dash. Then we all went swimming, which was a welcome relief from the heat. I was so tired I fell asleep on Mommy. Later on there were some fireworks outside, but I was fast alseep by that time. What a fun day!

The day before Mom and Dad got some decorations and toys, like balloons. At first I was a little wary of the balloons, but decided they were lots of fun.

They also bought some noodles for the pool. I'm so strong, I could life them up with two little fingers!

I even tried with my feet.

I'm getting better about getting on my hands and knees. Then I like to rock back and forth.

That's about it! Hope you had a good 4th too!

Hitting the bottle

I'm starting to really hit the bottle. Tonight I was even doing it by myself. Instead of "no hands, Ma", it's "No Ma's hands!"

It was fun to watch Daddy upside down while feeding myself.

Today was a crazy day. Maybe cause I woke up with crazy hair!

So glad it's a three day weekend, and I have Mommy and Daddy to myself (no work, Daddy!) for 3 days- in a row! Yay!
