1st Daddy's Day!

I had a great time during my first Daddy' day! Daddy took the whole day off of work so we could be together. Yay! Mom and I started the day by making blueberry pancakes for him as he slept in. After stuffing our faces, I helped Daddy open his presents and eat, er, read his cards.

Here I am helping him unwrap the present I made for him (Mom helped a little).

I feel it came out pretty well, myself. That's my hand and foot print, so he can remember how cute they were when I was 8 months.

He seemed to like all of his gifts. I just liked the wrapping paper.

After we cleaned up, I practiced pulling up. I'm pretty tall!

All of this work wore me out, so I crashed on Dad's lap.

Then we gave Mom a lesson and she mowed the lawn (and did a pretty good job). After she got cleaned up, we made the rounds of family. First we stopped off to see Uncle Ernest on his first Father's Day. E.W. sure is growing!

There were a lot of cameras going at once! After the photo op, we headed over to Aunt Georgia and Uncle Drew's for some grilling and swimming. Both fun activities, though I really only was able to partake of the swimming. I had green beans and watermelon for lunch. Yes, I thought it was a strange combo also, but oh well. Here I am with cousin Andrew on Aunt Georgia's lap.

It was a lot of fun. Andrew has a lot of energy, and some fun toys that I got to play with. He was doing a lot of neat tricks in the pool that I'm sure I'll be doing in a few years. I was wiped out byt the time we left, and had a great nap on the way home. By then it was dinner time, so we picked up some food and headed home. I think both Daddy and I really enjoyed our first Father's Day!
I love my Daddy.
