Happy Halloween!

While not my first Halloween, it was my first time trick or treating, and really being somewhat aware of what was going on. It was a really fun day. While I got ready to go out, Dad did my hair. Pretty cool- he even used his gel!
Hmmm, nothing in the pumpkin yet! Let's get going, guys!
I went as Dennis the Menace, as Mom said it would be a good fit with my recent behavior some days. Hey, what does that mean? Menace means full of joy, right?
Hah! The 'rents tried to get me to walk around the neighborhood- I don't think so!
This is more like it! I loved going around in the wagon, especially at night. I liked to call to the other kids.
Back at home, checking out the loot. The most fun was taking things in and out of the pumpkin. I'd say the evening was a success! I even helped Daddy pass out candy to the other treaters.

Good thing we have an extra hour of sleep tonight! I'll need it.

Fun things ahead!

It's just been a never-ending stream of fun! Last weekend I went swinging in the park again, for a walk in my wagon (and dumped my sweater overboard without Mom and Dad knowing),

then played with Daddy in a box (just me in the box, not Daddy- we'd need a bigger box).

Sunday went back to the pumpkin patch, this time to take pictures with my cousins, Shapleigh and Merritt. I was a little out of it, having been woken from a nap, so the pictures of me weren't my best. But I had fun playing with them afterwards. Yesterday Mom and I went to the airport to pick up Granma! I'm having a great time with her. And tomorrow night, we get a sleep-over, just the two of us. It's Mom and Dad's 5th anniversary, and they are spending the night out. So it will be me and Granma, going wild and crazy. Then, it's Halloween! This time I'm dressing up and going out- hope the weather cooperates. So, look for pictures of that soon.

Party

I had a great first birthday weekend! Grandpa came in town to celebrate with me, and that was lots of fun. I picked him up at the airport, with Mom's help, then we got some burgers- I got my own! Yum-mee! I showed him my toys in the playroom, and even let him play with my feather wand.

Then we played with tennis balls. I liked to take them out of the can and put them back.
During my nap, Mom and Grandpa put together my new chair and table. I liked sitting in the chair. I feel like a big boy!

On Saturday we had my Monkey party. We had lots of balloons- I love balloons! All of my friends and family came and I had so much fun!

Mom made me a monkey cake, cause I'm a big monkey, she says.

I had a cupcake. So far, still not too crazy about cake, but it sure it fun to make a mess with!

I was so pooped afterwards I took a long nap! Sunday was another beautiful day. We took my new wagon that Grandpa and Grandma got me to a pumpkin patch.

It was so much fun to see all of the pumpkins, in different sizes. They had some just the right size for me:

We got 5 pumpkins- one for each of us kids. I don't know if mine is the smallest or the biggest one. Good thing we brought the wagon. Dad needed my help in pushing it around.

Just for fun, the 'rents put me in a wheelbarrow with some big pumpkins. It was a great weekend!

1st birthday!

It's finally my birthday! It took soooooo long, like a year or so! It was a really nice day. Mom got a lot of posts wishing me a Happy Birthday on her Facebook page- that was sweet! I got warmed up for birthday fun over the weekend. Mom got me a balloon (love those!) and I got to beat Dad with it. I conquered the giant!

But on to the important day, all about me. I got a call from Aunt Libby, singing to me. I chatted a bit with her, and pressed a lot of buttons on the phone, including the call waiting button. After dinner, I got to open presents! Dad helped a little.
From Granma and Grampa Paul, I got Legos! I think they are really cool, and it even has a little grey kitty, like my Laney.

From Peachie and Faux Pas, I got the cutest little outift, which had a cowboy on it! And a book and CD with poems on it. Can't wait for those.

Aunt Libby and Uncle Ben got me a fun music set. I love to make noise!

I also had fun playing with the packaging. Dash did too, getting in the boxes.

I got a super fun hard hat and ball poundie thing from Aunt Melly and Uncle Alex. I make this look sooooo good.

Dad also liked playing with the poundie thing. Ummm, Dude, it's mine!

I worked up a hunger with all the fun. So it was time for cake! And my first cup of milk.

Let's see how it went....

Apparently not my cup of tea. Not sure if it's the taste or the temp. We'll try again later. (what? Mom added some to my nightly bottle?! Hmmm.)
On to the cake. Not too sure about this, either.

It's was an interesting texture... And lots of fun to squish and throw around!

It was a very good day. Thanks, all!

Swinging and chores

Mom and Dad took me to the park for the first time last Saturday. We have one down the street from us. I went swinging for the first time. Had a great time!

Maybe cause I was wearing my super cool Georgia Tech hat.

All that fun wore me out!

I like to help around the house. Like feeding the cats. They are my friends.

Helping to sort the mail. (and occasionally trying to eat pieces of it)

And of course reorganize the storage containers. Again.
Daddy's work has quieted down, so we've been able to spend more time together. Yay!

I feel pretty!

I feel pretty, and witty and wise! I get stopped a lot by strangers who tell me how pretty I am. So I decided to try wearing a bow.

I make it look pretty and masculine! No? How about if I turn it around?

Rolling wit' the homies! Yo, want to join my gang? So far it's me and Dashell. Except he wouldn't wear the headband. So much for the polka dot gang!
Dad was out of town again this week. I missed him. Mom let me practice talking on the phone- a real phone! I didn't do so well when the time came to talk to Dad at night. I froze and forgot my line- was it "Hello", or "Hi"? I couldn't talk.

"Hey, Mom- this call's for you!"

After chatting to random people on the phone, I practiced the drums. Using my head.
I love it when Mom asks me why I do certain thing. Cause I do!
I'm a growing boy- almost one! I need to get all the nutrients I can.

Ahhh, good to the last drop!
I like playing with Dashie. I stole his feather wand a while back, and like to tease him with it.

Here we are playing Bull. I'm the bull.

It's good exercise for both of us. Mom again asks me why I like to head butt Dash. Cause I do! Geez.
