My first fever

Fever... fever when it hits you, fever all through the night. This week wasn't the best. Daddy was on a week long business trip, and I got sick. Wasn't all too bad. I got a lot of cuddle time. And it's all gone now and Daddy is back!

I did have other things going on. Last weekend I had lunch with Mom and Dad, and had my new treat, pickles. Yum!

Sunday I hung around with Mom and watched the Emmys. I liked to clap for the winners. Mom liked how I was hanging out. I DO have cute legs!

Later I helped Mom arrange the Tupperware cabinet. I was a big help. Guess Aunt Melly will have to come back to put it back in place!

Today, I played ball with Mom and Dad with my new bouncy ball. For a while they played keep away. Hmmm, not fair! But I always got it back.

So it ended well.

Party time

It was a party weekend. First off cause Daddy didn't have to work, which is always cause for a party. Then we went to cousin Merritt's 1st birthday party. She beat me to the world by a few weeks. Here we are comparing how our first year went.

She seems to like dolls and stuff. I like pushing things around. Like playing my own version of hockey.

Then it was off to meet the Brennans for Oktoberfest! A celebration of being German, which I'm half of. Mom and Dad have been several times, with last year being an exception. Something about Mom carrying some extra weight? I enjoyed my first Oktoberfest- what's not to like? Bier and strudel!

Hanging with Mom.

And dancing to the Polka with Dad.

Sunday had some downtime. Mom wasn't feeling well, so I went out with Dad in the morning. Then I spent the afternoon playing with the cool instruments I got from Merritt's party. They were lots of fun! I got some sticks to bang around. I like to bang them on my head, just to confuse Mom, who doesn't know why. Cause I'm a boy, Mom!

There were castanets, a maraca, and a scarf. So I could see the world through rose colored eyes.

Or just eat it.

11 months!

Seriously, where does the time go?? It's already the 14th, and that means birthday time! Only one more month before the big One! Mom ordered my birthday supplies. I can't wait!

It's been really busy recently. The weekend before this one, we had some family over for Labor Day. Funny how people don't work on Labor Day. Oh well. Uncle Drew and Andrew came, as well as Uncle Ernest, Aunt Mai and cousin EW, plus Great Aunt Louise and Uncle Christo! It was a full house. I went swimming with cousin Andrew and Uncle Drew. It was cool to use the resurfaced pool for the first time. Looks great! Dad grilled some flank steak, which was super yummy. It was a nice weekend. Monday we had our first showing, so Mom and I drove around. Or rather she drove while I slept. Works for me! Mom was busy, so no pictures from that weekend. Oops!

One thing I like to play with now is the cake decorations. The little holders are just the right size for my little hands, and they rattle when I shake them. Cool!

I had fun taking them out of the box, throwing them around, putting them back in the box, and starting all over again.

This weekend I had another visitor, Aunt Libby! That was super fun. I wore her out! It rained a lot, so we weren't able to go swimming. Might not be able to anymore, as it's getting a little cooler out. Mom and Aunt Libby set up my little climber set. It was out once before, but I wasn't quite ready for it. Now I love to open and close the door, and crawl in and out. Over, and over, and over.

Aunt Libby took me down the slide:

I was wiped out! Aunt Libby helped me hit the bottle.

Saturday we had some friends over for dinner. Wish I would have taken my afternoon nap, as there was a lot going on. But it was still a lot of fun. There was my friend Liam and his older brother Colin:

And my girlfriend Madeleine. She liked the slide:

Then I helped her with the Jumperoo.

And I'll see them again for my birthday. Just another month to go! Except Aunt Libby, but Grandpa will be there. Yay!

September fun

Wow, September already. Where does the time go? I've been exploring lots of new foods, and working on my cruisin'. I've even stood up a few times by myself, before I realized what I was doing. Mom and Dad got me a walker car. Not too crazy about it now- every time I try to stand up, that thing moves! How rude. Even on the carpet.
I love eggs, and yesterday we discovered I love pickles! I was at lunch with Mom and Dad yesterday, and they each had a pickle with their sandwich. They had been sharing with sandwiches (turkey and corned beef) with me, when Mom decided to try giving me some pickle. It was great! I had part of hers, and then all of Dad's! I was bummed when I was done with them. So far I think think I've liked everything I've tried, except for celery and melon. And out of my animals, I had to try a few of them out.

Dashchund was okay.

Bear was super yummy!

Having fun with my sippy cup too. I had a cool one at Grandma D's house, which had a straw. This one is fun too, especially to throw it on the floor.

I've also been busy playing with my fruit. Love throwing the lemons out of the baby gates for the kitties to play with. So far they don't return them. Hmmm, they need to work on that. Then I like to stuff the apples under the couch, pull them back out, return them to their bowl, and start the whole process again. Cracks Mom up!
