Beach fun!

Wow, it's been a while since my last post. I've been busy, as usual. This time with my first vacation! I love vacation. We should do it all the time. This time we went to Hilton Head, and got to stay with Aunt Libby and Uncle Ben. They did a good job entertaining me. We flew in last Friday, and I got to see cousin Sam. He was lots of fun. Then on Saturday, we drove a looooong time to Hilton Head. So glad when we arrived! Though I was a good rider. And navigator! Grandpa showed me the way that morning, and I was all set with my map:

I'm sure Dad appreciated the help, and I've broken in my back seat driver's licence! After unpacking the car, we took a walk to the beach. Loved it! Had to let out a primal yell. We had a bit of rain on us on the way back, but other than that, great weather. Auntie Libby and Uncle Ben made us dinner- yum. Then it was off to bed. Sunday it was beach time! After food shopping and nap time, of course. Wasn't sure about those waves at first, but I liked it when Daddy would toss me up over them. Here I am checking out the water with Mom.

So glad we had an umbrella, even though it wasn't too hot. Need to protect my creamy baby skin. And loved the beach toys Grandpa and Grandma D got me. Mom filled a bucket of water so I could play with wet sand.

Dad read a bit, but then decided to bury me in sand! Which was okay with me, as I discovered sand is yummy. Same with salt water. And the place had tons of both!

I could get used to a few days of this. Good thing that's what the plan was! We spent Sunday through Wednesday at the beach. The weather was beautiful, and the waves got bigger each day. Poor Daddy and Aunt Libby got stung by jellyfish on the last day. Not fun. Glad it wasn't me! I loved listening to the waves. After so much fun, all I could do was crash.

On Tuesday night we went to a great restaurant for dinner. I had crab, lobster and fish. Loved them all! Auntie Libby was quite entertained by me.

Uncle Ben was fun to play with too. We wrestled and raced, and played with the door. I let him win a few times.

Here's a shot of the whole gang. The week was lots of fun, and I can't wait to do it again!

10 months old

I turned 10 months old yesterday. Wow, how time is flying! I've been a busy bee recently. My first tooth now has a friend, Tooth #2! Also, I'm getting quite good at pulling up on anything and everything. Here's me in action.

I've even been growing my hair, and it's getting long and getting curls.

I had my first sleepover at my girlfriend Madeleine's house, while our floors were being re-stained. The kitties came too. I stayed in a room with Mom and Dad. It's getting me ready for vacation next week! I'm going to the beach! And I get to see almost everyone- Grandpa and Grandma D, Granma, Aunt Libby and Uncle Ben and Peachie and Faux Pas again. It should be a lot of fun. I'm sure I'll have lots of pictures to share afterwards, but it might be a while before I can post again. So here's another picture of me to tide you over.

Visitors Galore!

It's just been a whirlwind week. New month, several guests, a birthday! Peachy and Faux Pas were here last weekend. Here I am with Peachy, and I'm doing my new favorite thing, pointing!:

Then Uncle Ben was here for a sleep over. He was lots of fun to play with. Here we are examining the train wreck (not my fault!)

Then he polished me with his head! How silly!

We had a wrestling match, and while I'm small and wily, he's bigger. So he won, and I had to bow down to him.

After his visit, I needed some quiet time. Books are good for that.

Yesterday was Daddy's birthday. Yay! It was a fun day. Daddy got to come home early from work to play with me. We went to dinner. By the time it came for Daddy to open his present, I was wiped out, so I fell asleep. Sorry, no pictures. But Mommy said he really loved them. He got lots of stuff about stars, so he can teach me a bit later.

The pool is being emptied today, as we're getting it resurfaced starting Monday. No last dip in the old pool, but looking forward to the new!
