Cutest Hospital Gown!

I got the cutest hospital gown today. Good thing it was warm today, as it's a bit drafty- not only is the back open, but it doesn't even cover my diaper! It still rocks. Had to have some minor surgery to get it. But it's so cute, plus I had lots of nurses saying how beautiful I am, so it wasn't a horrible day. We started it bright and early! Don't remember much about the morning, as I was asleep for most of it. Got some greaaaaat drugs! They made me sleep a lot today, which isn't a bad thing (even though Mom thinks I don't like my naps). Here's a shot of me sleeping when we got home, with my friend Pooh.

I even got some of the cool drugs to take home with me. Okay, I don't like taking most of them, but hopefully it will get easier with time, which I have, since I have to take them for, like, ever!! Here's the shot of me in my super cool hospital gown (have a bit of a cold, so always need the tissues nearby). Check out the massive bandage on my hand, from the IV!

"Where's a tissue?! Ah-choo!"

"I feeeel good (nah-nah-nah-nu-nah-nah). I knew that I would"

Off to catch some more zzzzz's! Thanks for checking in with me.

Shots and more shots

( Yes, Dad is standing right next to the bed, just out of camera range. )

I had my four month check-up today. I'm doing great, though slowing down on my growing a bit (you wouldn't know it to hear Mom and Dad talk!). I'm now 15 pounds, 7 and 1/2 ounces, and 25 and 7/8 inches. Just missed 26! I should be able to get marked on my growth chart now! I was in the 80th percentile, but now am in the 60s. Got some more shots (yuck), but I handled them well. Mom and the doctor talked about me starting solids. Guess it's up to me, if I'm ready!

Aunt Libby made arrangements to come visit me in April. Yay! I'll be six months old then, wow! And a world traveler, after my own airplane ride in March. Wonder which fabulous picture I should use for my passport. ;-)

4 months!

Yesterday was a big day for me. It was my 4 month birthday, my first Valentine's Day, and the anniversary of when Mom told Dad I was coming! It was a nice day. I got to spend a lot of time with Dad while Mom cleaned the house. Mom and I made V-day cookies. Then we had a nice dinner and opened cards. For V-day, Mom and Dad are buying each other windows- how weird, right?? (Mom says replacing them is easier than cleaning them- ha!) Here is me with my Valentine from Grandpa and Grandma C!:
We're on our way to Atlanta! Not right now, but we booked our flight for the end of March. What fun! A plane ride AND meeting relatives!! Hope my little body can take all the excitement.

Speaking of my little body, I have my 4 month check-up this week. Can't wait to see how big I am now! Pretty much I'm outgrowing some of my 3-6 month clothes. Most of which I get from Liam, who is 4 months older than I am, but I'm catching up quickly. Next Saturday I get to go to my first birthday party, for Liam's older brother, Colin. Haven't met him yet, but I like Liam, so I'm sure it will be lots of fun. Going today with Mom to pick out a gift for him!

I'm becoming a real cut-up. I always like to laugh and have fun. The other morning on the changing table, I was kicking and punching while yelling 'Hi-Yah!' (that's for you, Uncle Ben!) Mom started singing "Kung-Fu Fighter", which cracked me up, partly cause she doesn't know the words. Then the other night, while having a late dinner, I was on the couch with Mom and Dad. I'd start to eat, but then get distracted by other things, like the ceiling, or Dad. So I was in the little circle of "Oh, food!", "Oh, the ceiling!", "Oh, Dad!","Hey, I'm hungry- oh, look, there are lights on the ceiling!" with Mom being commentator and Dad making really weird noises while he laughed. That was a lot of fun, though I don't get the, Oh, look, a kitty! Two nights ago Dad was kissing the back of my head with some weird noises, which made me think he was sucking out my brain, and instead of being upset, it cracked me up. Mom got some video of it (though she always starts out holding the camera the wrong way!) Look for it soon on Facebook.

That's about it for now. Peace out!

Sitting up

I'm working on sitting up. Here I am with Dad. He's not propping me, no. We're just, really close. Cuddling. Sharing a moment.

We had a nice weekend. Went on a long walk on Saturday (next time, Dad needs to bring the Bjorn, as I like hanging from his chest). Sunday Dad and I went to the Man Store (aka Lowe's). Mom and Dad are almost done staining my toy chest- geez, it's not like they have anything else to do! I have a great new toy from Peachie that Mom calls the Chicken- I like to chew on the chicken's head. And Mom's friend Peggy sent me some great books, and a little Pat The Bunny bunny, which I also like to chew on. I'm sure there will be pictures of those later on.

Superhero!

Since I'm such a super baby, Mom and Dad have deemed that my super hero personae is Super Cutie! I go around the world, ending conflict by the mere presence of my Super Cuteness. Some of my weapons are my Super Smile and my Super Giggle. I am getting Super Strength in my super cute hands, so I always like to have something to hold. I've kind of put other things, like rolling over, on the back burner to pursue saving the world. Maybe one day I'll have a costume and a cape! Maybe it will be yellow- I look good in yellow, and it's a happy color:

When I'm not rescuing damsels in distress, I like to stay active. I'm just always on the go, go, go with my legs and arms. Everything must be put in the mouth to test it out, and I'm getting good use of my bibs now with my super drool. And don't think I rest while getting my diaper changed- oh, no! That's the perfect opportunity to practice my Irish dancing. Kick, kick, kick!
This past weekend I saw my first Super Bowl. Pretty good game, some cute commercials. I didn't really get a lot of good junk food. Hopefully that improve at next year's game.
