Heeerrrrreeee'ssss Harris!!!!

I'm back, and better than ever! Really trying to get Mom to update my adoring fans more often, really I am! So here's the January update. We had Mom and Aunt Bibby's birthday party. I helped Grandma make the cakes, then I helped Mom and Aunt Bibby blow out their candles. And despite it being my favorite song that I make Mom and Dad sing to me a LOT, I didn't sing to them. I'm funny like that. I did sing to Aunt Melly, and then blew out a candle for her. So you never know when you'll get a performance out of me, but I'm always up for blowing out candles (just ask Daddy- every time he tries to light the grill, poof! I blow out the flame. hahahahahaha).

We had a HUGE snow storm this month. Seemed to last the whole month! School was closed for a while and there was most of a snowman in the neighbor's yard till yesterday! This picture was on the first day. It was fun then. And deep! I fell down! Ok, not really, I pretended to fall down, which is more fun. Later on, I went on my first sled (we had snow in Dallas, but no hills!). That was after watching the neighbor kids for about 45 minutes (when Mommy asked if I wanted to go, I had to tell her "No, I too little"), then waiting until it was almost too dark, then going. Loved it! Went on three runs, taking turns riding with Mommy and Daddy then it really was too dark.

The one thing I wasn't crazy about with the snow was shoveling it. And look at the size shovel they gave me to use! Are you kidding me??! No, I'm kidding you. I'm using Daddy's grill thingy to push the snow around. I wanted to shovel, and helped Grandma out at their house when I had a snow day over there. But it's all gone now, which is fine with me.

I've been busy playing indoors with my Connet Four game, and my Play Doh. Oh, and dumping my hundreds of fuzzy balls on the floor. I usually help pick them up, but not always! I'm learning to count to 20, my days of the week, and getting a lot better at using the potty. I'm now about door handle level, which is perfect for locking doors.

Can't believe it's almost February!

Still Alive

Hello, Fans-
Yes, I'm still alive. Sorry for the delay, I too have been after Mommy to update this for me. I'm WAY past 22 months! So much has gone on since then. I'm now 2 years old, and acting every minute of it. So Mom has been a little busy. But I'll keep after her to add some updates as she can.
Love,
Harris

22nd month

Hello, everyone! Life is still a whirlwind for me. Lots has happened since my last post. I'm highly in demand. I went to my friend Duncan's 1st birthday party, and got these cool sunglasses. I wanted to wear them inside, so I took out the dark part. I look good!

I've been practicing my tennis with my racquet. Mom got me some new bouncy foam balls which are a lot of fun to hit. Still working on getting the racquet off the ground, but that just means I can play hockey in the winter. Toe pick!

It was Daddy's birthday, so everyone came over. I was the main entertainment, of course. Here I am getting Peachie to do whatever I do. Except she doesn't have the same cool hat I do.

I've been learning my way around the kitchen. Beware of hot stuff! (aside from me, of course). Don't worry, I'm prepared.

I'm very creative. And I wanted to be as colorful as Aunt Libby is all over. Check out my feet! Somehow the paint wound up there instead of the paper. Umm, oops? Don't worry, I like to clean up.

Grandpa and Grandma got me a horse! Wow! It makes noise and everything. Love to rock out! They even got the horse a hat. It's not in this picture though.

Cousin Sam came to visit. He was lots of fun to play with. We even went swimming one day. He was brave and went off the diving board. So I wanted to go to! Mom helped me, holding on to my hands while I jumped off. I loved it! I could have done that all day. Check out my cool frog boots! Now, only for some rain and puddles.

I got Dad some balloons for his birthday, but really they were for me. I'm using this one as a sled. Love my cool Magnum PI shirt.

I'm getting into shoes- Literally! Here I am with Sam's shoes. They fit great! Well, almost. Maybe a few more socks would help....

I love going to the neighborhood park. It has lots of fun slides and swings, and even a lake with geese (I call them ducks. Tomato- tomahto). I've learned to jump. Not just off the diving board, but everywhere. Check out the air under these feet! Who says white boys can't jump. Jump around!

Hey, there are the ducks! Honk, honk. Mom, Dad and I have been taking a lot of walks. Well, Mom and Dad have. I get shoudy rides! Much better view. Well, that's the recap for month 22! Thanks for checking in.

21st month

It's hot outside, so I love having popsicles! Cold and yummy.

It's important to keep up with grooming. I love getting pedicures. I have such cute toes! Glad Mommy and Daddy haven't eaten them, as they keep threatening to do.

I love climbing and running, and all boy stuff. Here I am running on the couch and throwing myself at Mommy. I have a pretty hard head, so she needs the pillow for protection. Doesn't bother me!

I love putting things in pockets. Even when they aren't pockets! Surely I can keep things if I put them up my pants, right? I'll just try with Daddy's cell phone.

Okay, so it works better this way, inside the pocket.

It was the 4th of July recently, so time to decorate! I helped Daddy put flags in the front yard. I love waving flags.

I was in the neighborhood parade. This time there were awards, and I got a ribbon for coming in 3rd place in my age group. I know, I should have been first, but that kid had pinwheels on his bike.

Here I am, marching with the flag with Grandma. Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, Peachie and Faux Pas saved the fun sparklers till after I was in bed. What's up with that?! Just wait till next year!

20 months

Now that's I'm getting older, I feel I might need a new look. How is red on me? This is really part of Mom's getup for prom. Yeah, I know, she's a little older for that. It was a retro prom. Dad had a wig too. Personally didn't care for either one.

I discovered the iPod! I love listening to music and shimmying.

Ahh, I love being outdoors.
Man, am I cute or what!? I've really learning a lot of new words and phrases. I can ask "Where's Dad", say "Mine!" and "Don't Touch". I like to use the last one a lot on the 'rents. I sure hear it enough from them!
Dad took me down to Peachie and Faux Pas' farm house, where I met a horse! It was HUGE! Okay, this one is a pony, but there was also a big horse!

It's getting really hot, so when I'm outside, I like to take precautions. Like taking off my clothes. And watering myself. So I can grow big! Naked time!

Here I am looking at family pictures. Of Mom and Dad's wedding. Looks like it was fun, wish I was there. I love pointing out my family members by name.

I love wearing hats and passing them out for the 'rents to wear too. Daddy's wearing my hat! He's silly.

I've been visiting at Peachie and Faux Pas' house a lot recently. They have lots of space for me to run and play. We even went swimming yesterday. I like to hide too- can you see me in the picture? I know! I'm a good hider. Keep looking out for me in pictures till my next post- you never know where I am!

19th months

I'm 19 months today! May is a great month to be in Georgia- blooming flowers, greenery everywhere, and even visits from wildlife.

A bunny came to visit in the backyard this week.

The weather is warming up, so that means naked time! Or half naked time. Here I am applying my "war" paint. Even though I'm not at war with everyone, cause I'm a lover, not a fighter.

May is the month for Mother's Day! I think every day should be Mother's Day, as long as I also get to star. Daddy sent Mommy some flowers, and I got to hide in the box! Don't send me anywhere, though!
We had a great Mommy's Day celebration. Everyone came over for lunch. Daddy and Uncle Ben grilled burgers on the Egg. We had Uncle Ben and Aunt Libby, Grandpa and Grandma C, Granma and Grand-Paul, Peachie and Faux Pas, and Ben's parents. I love having a full house.

I showed Uncle Ben a few tricks about creating art. He wrote some things Mom said he'll have to explain to me much, much later. Silly guy!

And I got a tattoo! It says "Spank Me". But not really though, I have a cute touchie. I love to paint and get messy and cover myself in stickers, so it was a great day!

Speaking of messy, I also love spaghetti night. I'm doing great at using a fork and spoon. And can say fork and spoon, among my many other words. (I can now say Laney, so I can control all of the cats!)

Yay! Can't wait to see what the rest of May brings. I'm hoping lot of ball time, visits with friends and family, and more mess.

April recap

Mom's computer is finally fixed, just in time for one post in April. So much went on in April! Easter, vacation to Pawley's Island. Here's a quick recap.

Been hanging out at home some. Here I am getting up close and personal with Dashie. I'm learning what gentle means.

Wow, that's a big hill to our house. Good to keep my toushie in shape.

Soon it was time for Easter. I had a practice run with eggs at the neighborhood Egg Hunt. Man, there were a lot of kids! I had to act fast, and I grabbed a corner. Dad helped me out a little (really, he was just slowing me down, but it's the holidays- just gotta go with the flow).
I even met the Easter Bunny there! He was a little scary. I mean, look at the size of that bunny!

Glad I had the extra practice, as on Easter day, I had a lot of eggs to hunt down. It was hard work, but definitely worth it, as inside the eggs were lots of stickers! I love stickers.

A few weeks after Easter was beach time! Yay! Mom and I spent a week in Pawley's Island, SC. We stayed with a lot of family there- Granma and Grand-Paul, Aunt Libby and Uncle Ben, Grandpa and Grandma, Aunt Melly and Uncle Alex, and Uncle Travis and Aunt Amanda. And of course the cousins! Sam, Maggie, Thomas and Maggie the dog. Plus, Sophie and Max came! I loved playing in the sand, but not the waves so much.

Maggie and I had the important job of keeping the deck clean, and we rocked it! Most every day we were out there washing it down. Don't tell anyone it was fun, else they'd want to do it instead.

It was great hanging out with everyone. I got some new shades too.

Maggie is super cool. She's two years older than I am, and she knows how to have fun. We shared very well and wore each other out. Grandpa and Grandma got us a lot of beach toys, and we used every last one of them! And one night, we had a pillow fight.

Sam is really cool too. He can teach me a lot, and liked to cuddle with me. Here we are watching the sun rise on my last morning there. Can't wait to spend more time with them!

I guess that's April in a nut shell (speaking of, I love nuts! Peanuts, almonds, macadamias- yum!). Thanks for checking back, and I'll try to keep Mom on tracking on posting.
